Mompreneur Bloggers to Follow | Forum Coin

In 2013, Matthew Toren, co-founder of Entrepreneur.com, compiled a list of 100 mompreneur bloggers to follow.

It's 2019 and I have pared the list down to the Top 5 Mompreneurs.

Women in Business : Continued Support for Women-Owned Businesses ~ 2019 Forward

Back in August 2014, I shared information links that should have proved useful to women in business, particularly women-owned businesses. It's 2019 and I have been celebrating and honoring women all month long since March is Women's History Month. I wanted to reshare the link to my 2014 blog post and supply some updates. A lot can happen in 5 years.

My Aug 2014 Post:

UPDATES:

Press Release Dated April 20, 2018 | News | U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell of Washington ~ Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), urged continued support of the SBA/WBC (Small Business Administration’s Women’s Business Centers).  The action had to be taken because current POTUS wanted to cut funding for a program that is proving to be successful.

The President's FY2020 Budget was released during March 2019 and it appears there will be continued investment in the WBC. ~  The President’s Budget « CAMEO

Thank the Lord for women in politics who support women in business.

My Shopping Channel is an Active Member of Alignable.com

Several months back I was invited to join a community aimed at promoting small businesses, connecting local businesses to each other, providing a means of referring customers and clients to each other, and other support.  It was a good sense decision to join this community.  I have been a work-at-home professional since 2007 and was invited to join by Heather McLaughlin from Performance Marketing Group.

Can you believe it?  They found me and extended me an invitation.  It wasn't hard to find me.  I have a public LinkedIn profile.  But someone looked!  ☺  I'm glad they did reach out because I have had nothing but positive dealings with all of the community - the staff and the members.

Most of the time I exchange business information (like passing out a business card) and post links for new products available at my various online shopping sites.  Occasionally I am asked to participate in a Q & A forum with other businesses so that we can trade ideas with each other and figure out some "best practices" routines that might work for everybody.

One of the questions I provided a response to was:

This was my response.

I'm an affiliate marketer working at home. Folks don't have to shop via my site. They can shop at the sites of other WAH marketers. It's a bazillion of us out there trying to swim to the top and get noticed so we can earn commissions from sales of products by people who came to the vendor's site via our website.
Our site visitors can always just can skip over our site and go straight to the vendor. Either way, the goal is for you to end up with a quality product for yourself or a lovely gift that the recipient won't re-gift or return. :)
Just started a new shopping blog on Tumblr: Go Shopping Bees. It shares my affiliate referral links, links from fellow affiliate marketers, and cool stuff found around the web. Consider it my shopping wish list for you. Happy Shopping!! :)

Activities You Should Be Aware Can Cause the Elimination of Your Blog

Wake up one day and discover that your blog was deleted?

Start scratching your head wondering what you did?

The link below is to a post at "We Blog Better".  It makes for a very handy checklist.  Although as I scanned the list, it made me wonder why bloggers would not know this.  However, it is possible that many do NOT realize these activities could get their blog removed.  What I really like is that Guest Blogging and offering free samples of Oreo cookies are NOT on the list.  YAY!  Totally awesome because I have more than one blog and would like to extend an invitation to anyone out there reading this who would be interested.

Would you be interested in providing a Guest Post for this blog or any of my other blogs? Feel free to contact me via eMail:

SUBJECT: Guest Blog Post
I would be honored!

P.S.  I haven’t gotten to the point where I can hand out free Oreo cookies but I can tell you where you can get free samples of bath products.  Click here. :)

My Pick for Infographic of the Day From Manta.com - Freedom & Independence

Mea culpa! Mea culpa! Apologizing to Manta.com for not spreading the love. In my defense?
  • Excuse #1: A newbie (or inexperienced entrepreneur) to the world of online business.
  • Excuse #2: Home business blogs were not up and running - at the time when my websites were listed in their directory back in 2011.

Four years later, on a roll with my homebiz projects and know enough now to let others know that if you are a small business owner, home business entrepreneur, WAHM, whatever! ... Take advantage of the resources and services this company has to offer. Sharing this gem from their blog, my pick as an "Infographic of the Day".

If you are an American small business person and don't get to watch CNBC (or any other business new channel, for that matter), then you should follow the Manta blog. It will keep you informed and current.

Isn't this infographic awesome?

Pinterest: A Look Back and Now! (2012 - 2015)

Back in 2012 this was the latest news concerning the new kid on the block, i.e. Pinterest.

How Pinterest Uses Your Content Without Violating Copyright Laws | readwrite.com (2012)

  • Pinterest, the increasingly popular pinboarding social network, is able to present a visually arresting interface in large part by using copyrighted images pinned by users. "It's a huge concern for creative bloggers," said Amy Anderson, who blogs on the arts and crafts site Crafter Minds. "I don't think Pinterest does anything to help protect copyright besides removing content when people ask."

Glad to have saved these historical markers. It's 2015 and Pinterest has made its way to becoming a recognized reliable social media "facilitator".  Their success is phenomenal.  Keeping up with their business affairs because several months back, they invited me to create a free business account.  That was a gracious and generous offer to a struggling home business entrepreneur.  Even though this company has hit the "big time" (as Peter Gabriel would say), they still extended a helping hand  to "the little people" (like me).  With a current net worth of $3.8 billion, they have plans to continue moving forward.   Here is what they were up to in 2015:

BeeSweet Lemonade: 10 Year Old Makes Sunshine in a Glass

Happy Monday!  Apologies to the devoted fans of "Shark Tank" but never watch the show. However, the concept of helping a budding entrepreneur get started in business is an awesome idea and more power to the people they assist. Currently reside in Austin, Texas which is a very business-friendly city, and will always make my list for best places to live and work.  If you would like a website to follow that keeps up with the happenings in this capital city, check out theAustinot. (FYI. They are looking for Contributing Bloggers.  This post is by one of their Guest Bloggers.) They have a free newsletter you can receive via eMail, but it's super easy to follow them on Facebook. This morning, found this link via their Facebook posts stream and just have to share.  God bless you little girl!  Hope your business goes global!!

Meet The Austin Queen of Lemonade. She's 10 years old.
