My Favorite Power Quote 12 (Last One for 2014)

In 2014 started collecting “My Favorite Power Quotes”. Wanted to end the year with a dozen quotes. The last power quote for my year ending 2014 is a word that's full of power!! No matter what language you say it in, it still means the same. It can move mountains.  Hope it inspires you! :)

Apologies for the strike through.  My Tumblr account was terminated during the year and the quotes got deleted.

Collected these quotes on my own, but if you're looking for a compilation as ready reference:

Checking the word on the streets about this wonderful site we have here and in addition to the great things I tell others about it, wanted to share what people I don’t know and I’ve never met and I am certain that I did not influence in any way have also said about TreasurePen.

Will O’Hara, Tone Agency, ( @toneagency ) responded constructively to questions asked by a TP representative regarding CRO (conversion rate optimizatiom). Glad she asked. I learned something! (FYI. Marie Anne shared a blog post dated Mar 10, 2014. She quickly recognizes the potential here to earn income simply through referrals. Receive these updates via eMail. If you don’t subscribe to Mother Nature Network please consider getting on their mailing list. They are a consistent reminder of the celebration of life on this wonderful planet that we take for granted. Seems we would rather spend our energy, money, etc. on trying to colonize Mars instead of maintaining Earth. (Don’t want to go on a rant. But it’s one of my pet peeves! GRRR …!!) :) Here’s what came in the mail this morning!

Happy Saturday! For my cat loving family and friends,

Happy Caturday!!

Stay safe and enjoy the holiday season!

snow pic

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! And indeed, what would the holidays be without snow? It’s what gives Frosty his bulk and what makes Christmases white, putting the “wonder” in winter wonderland. But for all its bright sparkly beauty, snow has a dark side, too. Like when there’s too much of it! And you’re in the thick of it. And you can’t get out! Would you know what to do if you were stranded in the snow?

Relive poignant, defining or memorable moments of 2014 via Twitter and Tumblr

For me 2014 has been a fabulous year.  Received and eMail today to Relive poignant, defining or memorable moments of 2014 via Twitter. Selected these two moments and specific tweets IN MEMORY OF people I admired and appreciated who left us this year. Searched Tumblr to see if there were any artistic expressions which captured their light, their personality, their life!  What an inspiration!

Representatives Laud A Departing Dean, 59-Year Veteran John Dingell : NPR

The Bible says “Give honor to whom honor is due”. Heard this report on the radio this morning. Today I am celebrating my 59th birthday which means this man has been a loyal and faithful servant of the people for as long as I’ve been living. Want to take a minute to give a shout out to a man who has continued to push the plow so that all the citizens can reap the benefits of the harvest of his hard labor and dedication.  Tribute to a real life Captain America

* * * This is just a side note but there seems to be a debate raging about the future of television; a discussion which has not yet peaked my interest. But if there is just one word uttered, moaned, groaned, whispered, or even indirectly hinted at, about getting rid of or replacing public radio broadcasting, putting on my boxing gloves. Gonna have to get into the ring!!!

Appraisal as a Sincere Form of Flattery

You've worked hard. Really hard. NO. Really really really hard!

You know what it's worth to you? But how much is it worth to someone else?

Would you like to know the monetary value of your website or blog?

What's that? Did I appraise my sites?
NO. But another fellow entrepreneur appraised his and I was impressed.  It gave me hope! Got me making plans!!

So I'm passing along this business tip. If you're a home business entrepreneur like me, perhaps an honest assessment of the value of your work will encourage you to continue to press forward and pursue your financial goals. One of these days you might hear that lovely sound. KA-CHING!!!

Native American History: The Early Rainbow Coalition

Born and raised in Florida and the Seminoles were the first real American Indians that I had ever seen in my life. Happy to recycle this information a friend on a now-defunct social network shared with me as part of the November celebration for Native American Heritage Month

“On Christmas day 1837, 176 years ago, the Africans and Native Americans who formed Florida’s Seminole Nation defeated a vastly superior U.S. invading army bent on cracking this early rainbow coalition and returning the Africans to slavery. …”

An abandoned British fort from the war of 1812 was once occupied by a group of escaped slaves who found refuge and acceptance among the local tribes. The fort and the Spanish control of Florida offered some defense but the U.S. government sent an expeditionary military raid to terminate the outlaw colony. In the summer of 1816, the fort on the Apalachicola River was destroyed and nearly all its inhabitants.

First Public Share Via My Google Plus Business Page

First post via my Google Plus business page for Cmoneyspinner's Home Business Projects.

  • Link to post shared Jun 14, 2012.

The post about Angel Mae Taylor has sentimental value for me. The first article published online that actually showed my name as the author was written about her. It's one of those "firsts" memories.  Kind of like putting your first dollar you earned from your own business in a picture frame.  Although if you're striving to eek out a living by way of the Internet like me, it's a lot more like laminating your first penny!  :)  C'est la vie!

NOTE:  AUGUST 2015, GOOGLE PLUS SUSPENDED MY BUSINESS PAGE.  REVIEW WAS REQUESTED.  FINAL DECISION (???)

Created another business page.  Hoping to get it right this time!  :)

  • “a list of candidates running this year for U.S. Congress who we believe stand for a healthier Internet than their opponents”
