Milestone: 3 Year Anniversary YAY!

Celebrating my 3 Year Anniversary on HubPages!

Fun fact: Leather is a traditional gift given on third year anniversaries.

I don't expect any leather gifts.  But please celebrate with me.  This site is one of the first sites that allowed me to spread my wings as a freelance writer. See my list of HUBs below.

My Twitter Weekend Wrap-Up

Paper.li is a tool that helps you publish your own online newspaper. How cool is that? You can create and publish your very own "Daily Planet" with news items of interest to you that might be of interest to other readers also.

So far I've generated four different papers - covering topics like freelance writing, Pinterest, home business or work at home articles, tips, etc.

paper.li logoUsing the Paper.li publishing tool, each week (set to the date to every Sunday), a newspaper is published which summarizes my Twitter activity - not all, just some highlights.

This week's publication for Sunday, April 26, these are the headlines:

  • 10 Businesses You Can Run from Anywhere on Earth (And Start Today)
  • Confessions of a Cookbook Collector
  • Naples: The Birthplace of the Modern Pizza
  • Citrine Earrings
  • The Best Thai in Middle Tennessee

You an also look at some of the previously published editions by clicking on the Archives. They aren't all Sunday editions. Tried different days and then finally settled on Sunday mornings. You can subscribe to receive weekly updates via eMail, if you like.

Republishing Previously Published Content

Information for those who used to contribute to YAHOO Voices before that network was shut down. What many of us liked about the YCN (YAHOO Contributor Network) was that it accepted “previously published articles”. What was really great was that payment was actually received for articles that had been sitting at another site for well over a year with almost nothing to show for it! (That's my experience. Can't speak for others.)

When YCN closed its doors, never bothered looking for other sites that were similar. Haven't decided whether or not try again, but in case anybody else might be looking, here is a link of interest.

Susan Maccarelli, publisher of Beyond Your Blog recommends:
Make your existing posts work for you by republishing them on other sites.

Earn Money For Publishing Short Posts

This site shut down August 21, 2018.

Daily Two Cents is an online writing community very different from the others.  It’s pay-per-view, includes social networking, and allows the writer or contributor to earn 100% on their affiliate referral links.  That’s right!  NO REVENUE SHARING!!  You keep what you earn!

Can you write short posts - approximately 100 words - about a topic?  Doesn't have to be facts.  Opinions are accepted.  To date I have published 50+ posts.  View examples.  Links to ten (10) of my posts are provided below.

  • The Three Khans of Bollywood
  • Business Tip for Amazon Associates
  • Spotlight on Dana Carvey
  • Artists on Tumblr: Sayada Ramdial
  • Hot in Cleveland
  • Why Buy Precious or Semi-Precious Stones?
