Celebrating Asian-American Contemporary Artists

Giana Nguyen-Foster is a Vietnamese-American singer/songwriter.  We connected via Facebook back in 2011, the same year her debut solo EP, “For Now”, had been released. At that time she was promoting herself by collaborating with other musicians, and performing at shows in the Southern California area. Her career plans were altered slightly when she found out that she was pregnant. She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Raising her son is now a top priority, but music is still her passion, so she partnered with music educators to open Dancing Keys Music Studio which is located in Irvine, California. This way she stays involved in the music industry and has time to devote to her family responsibilities.

Giana also serves as a board member with VAALA, Vietnamese American Arts and Letters Association, and introduced me to the work of several Asian-American artists. In the USA, May is Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month.  It is a honor to celebrate the contributions of our citizens of Asian-Pacific ancestry and showcase the work of these extremely talented contemporary artists.
