Huge Priyanka Chopra fan and "In My City" is her collaboration with a talented American artist Will I. Am (of Black Eyed Peas fame) in order for her to “cross over” and expose her talent to more Westerners. Why not? American artists collaborate with American artists, all the time. That's how they survive. Why not mix and match? The game plan seemed sound. But the efforts were not very successful. Continue reading.
Do you enjoy European history and British comedy TV shows? My spouse introduced me to BBC programs back in the 70s. Fawlty Towers was one of my favorites.
Unfortunately, there is one show that I vaguely recall but can't remember the name or the names of any of the people in it, so it's hard for me to search for it. Perhaps if I tell what I can remember, somebody out there in cyberspace will help me fill in the blank.
So in this episode, there was a guy who impersonating the king of France. “A” king of France. The king's name was Louis. That part was clear. The confusion was over the monarch's number. So the guy who was supposed to be king – every time somebody left the room after speaking with him and another person would come in to talk to him, he would forget which number “Louis” he was. One time, he's Louis the 14th. Next time he's the 16th. The 10th? The 12th? He didn't know!
It was hilarious! But didn't quite fully appreciate the humor, not being familiar with the history of France. Did a little research to figure out just how many kings of France were named Louis. There were eighteen (18). Eighteen kings of France ruled from the 7th century to the 18th century. Napoleon Bonaparte proclaimed himself Emperor of France after Louis 16th got his head chopped off. Louis XVII died in prison. Louis XVIII ruled as a constitutional monarch. (If there's a student of French history who knows different, feel free to correct me.)
Passing this along. Collect things about Paris and am moderately interested in the history of France. Anyone here from France or have a passion for European...
I love old movies. On the hunt for a recommendation and came across this movie review of "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" (1982) starring Steve Martin (of "Saturday Night Live" fame). This blog is published by "Dave" and he plans to review a total of 2500 movies. This reblogged movie review is Number 1060. It was posted in 2010. As of June 2014, he was still posting! So much for setting yourself an achievable goal.
The first episode of Houdini and Doyle aired May 2, 2016, on Fox at 8pm CST.
My review was published at 100Springs.com, an online writing community; and it was compared to the review published and IGN Entertainment. IGN gave the series a rating of 6.3. I thought it should have been 3.6.

"Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra is ready to take over America."
Welcome Ms. Chopra! What took you so long?? Never mind. You're here now. So! You're going to play the role of an FBI Agent in the TV series "Quantico"? That was an excellent casting choice considering how well you acted in both of the "Don" Hindi films with Shah Rukh Khan. You will also star with him in "Don 3"? Can't say you don't stay busy. :) Viewed the official trailer for "Quantico". Looks intense. A frame up? Well that sucks!! Why do the true and loyal patriots always have to be the ones who get set up? Oh well! Let's just hope the plot holds up, and the main storyline doesn't get buried in a horribly written script. Best wishes for your success Ms. Chopra.
