Review: Marnie (1964) ~ On My List for Favorite Hitchcock Thrillers

This movie is very sexy! Sean Connery was way sexier in this movie than he ever was as James Bond.

As James Bond, he was just a womanizer, hopping into bed with anyone who had panties on. In this film, he was a passionate husband who burned with the desire to possess his own wife, but he wanted her to want him as much as he wanted her. He knew he could win her heart, and she would be worth it!

The Hitchcock Thriller “Marnie” is a touching love story.

Sean Connery was delighted when Alfred Hitchcock approached him to star in his film “Marnie” because he did not want to be always only cast as a womanizing “James Bond type” character.

Tippi Hedren, the woman chosen to play Marnie, a mentally troubled kleptomaniac, was terrified because she told Mr. Hitchcock she wasn’t sure that she could “pretend” or ACT as if she wasn’t sexually attracted to Sean Connery. :)

In my opinion, the couple’s onscreen nonsexual / sexual chemistry was absolutely perfect! It was a great love story! Could watch this film over and over.

In the mood for a hot flick?

This Alfred Hitchcock thriller never gets old!

Hitchcock was before Lady Gaga’s time. But even she incorporates references to his movies in her song lyrics. Face it. The man was a genius. His work is timeless. Being honest. Not a Gaga fan. But love Alfred Hitchcock!!

Only part of the movie I didn’t like? Was when she had to shoot the horse.

Do you really have to shoot horses?
