"Tolovaj publishes masterpieces!"You can quote me on that. 💓
When you visit the articles, you become instantly mesmerized. The information is fascinating reading, but the layout and presentation of the images that complement the content are absolutely exquisite! This link (below) is to a mini-bio of the famous fabulist, whom we all know as Aesop, but whom we also know very little about. (???) To put it in Tolovaj’s words: "… his fables are much more clear than his biography."
Aesop: unclear biography, no written fables, with timeless morals
⭐ Key points of the article
- Aesop’s life is largely unknown and possibly fictional — historical sources are unreliable, and many fables attributed to him were written centuries after he supposedly lived.
- “Aesop” functions more like a brand than an author, since many fables and quotes linked to him originated elsewhere, including India’s Panchatantra and Jataka tales.
- His fables became timeless because of their simple structure and universal morals, inspiring countless writers, artists, and adaptations across cultures.
After reading the article, I was moved to remark:

If Aesop’s fables are an indication of his character, he would definitely have been included in my circle of friends. 😃
