Kings of France Named Louis Per BBC Comedy (?)

Do you enjoy European history and British comedy TV shows? My spouse introduced me to BBC programs back in the 70s.  Fawlty Towers was one of my favorites.
Unfortunately, there is one show that I vaguely recall but can't remember the name or the names of any of the people in it, so it's hard for me to search for it. Perhaps if I tell what I can remember, somebody out there in cyberspace will help me fill in the blank.
So in this episode there was a guy who impersonating the king of France. “A” king of France. The king's name was Louis. That part was clear. The confusion was over the monarch's number. So the guy who was supposed to be king – every time somebody left the room after speaking with him and another person would come in to talk to him, he would forget which number “Louis” he was. One time, he's Louis the 14th. Next time he's the 16th. The 10th? The 12th? He didn't know!

It was hilarious! But didn't quite fully appreciate the humor, not being familiar with the history of France. Did a little research to figure out just how many kings of France were named Louis. There were eighteen (18). Eighteen kings of France ruled from the 7th century to the 18th century. Napoleon Bonaparte proclaimed himself Emperor of France after Louis 16th got his head chopped off. Louis XVII died in prison. Louis XVIII ruled as a constitutional monarch. (If there's a student of French history who knows different, feel free to correct me.)

Can anybody name of the BBC TV show?

This is perfect timing me to edit and republish content that first appeared on Persona Paper, June 8, 2015.

Two real life people that have always intrigued me:
Harry Houdini & Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to feature in X-Files style program | steampunkjournal.org
Fox ordering TV series about Sherlock Holmes author | ew.com

The two links above are entertainment history markers now.

Had heard that Ian McKellen (played the wizard “Gandalf” in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy) was going to be cast to play an elderly Sherlock Holmes. The latest brew haha is that the Doyle Estate is suing over copyright violations. Found two links of interest pertaining to that entertainment news.

At any rate, scouring the Internet for feedback and opinions about this new TV series and sharing a link  to one of the reviews that pretty much expresses my 1st impression as well.

To sum up the IGN review?  Some entertainment value, but shallow characters.

Oh my! Can you spell disappointing?

Oh well!  Here is a fascinating read that won't disappoint.  It's about how the friendship between Houdini and Doyle dissolved.

Priyanka Chopra Music Crossover Efforts

Huge Priyanka Chopra fan and "In My City" is her collaboration with a talented American artist Will I. Am (of Black Eyed Peas fame) in order for her to “cross over” and expose her talent to more Westerners. Why not? American artists collaborate with American artists, all the time. That's how they survive. Why not mix and match?

But!  Clearly, Ms. Chopra's acting choices have been much better as she landed the leading role in an American television series, "Quantico".

PC is a “triple threat”. When somebody uses that term, it's a compliment. It means the person can sing, dance and act and can do them all really good!! Most Indian film stars are triple threats!

But! ...

* What is your opinion of Ms. Chopra's collaborations or crossover efforts? Think she's making an impact and paving the road for others to do the same??

Or ...

Do you think her collaborations with folks like Will I. Am and PitBull ( "Exotic") aren't really getting anybody's attention?? Speaking about her musical efforts. Not talking about her acting choices.

* What's my opinion of her musical collaboration efforts?

I think they suck!  Luv ya PC.  But I'm calling it like I see it!

Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra to Play Lead Role in 'Quantico'

"Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra is ready to take over America."

Quantico TV series

Welcome Ms. Chopra! What took you so long?? Never mind. You're here now. So!  You're going to play the role of an FBI Agent in the TV series "Quantico"? That was an excellent casting choice considering how well you acted in both of the "Don" Hindi films with Shah Rukh Khan. You will also star with him in "Don 3"?  Can't say you don't stay busy.  :)  Viewed the official trailer for "Quantico".  Looks intense. A frame up? Well that sucks!! Why do the true and loyal patriots always have to be the ones who get set up? Oh well! Let's just hope the plot holds up, and the main storyline doesn't get buried in a horribly written script. Best wishes for your success Ms. Chopra.
