Society and Culture: When is a Minority Group a Problem?

Sweden: Jews are not a “problem”, as long as there’s only a few of them ...” (Source)

Odd quote to start off an article with. ( My opinion. )

But if you don't believe or don't read the Bible, then perhaps the statement is logical. (???)  When the Jews multiplied in Egypt they weren't a problem then, until the Pharoah who did not know of and/or did not choose to remember Joseph, decided that the Israelites were a "problem".  Other than the fact that they were having a lot of babies and lived in the Land of Goshen.  That was their home.  They weren't trying to spread themselves out because there wasn't enough room.  They were settled and weren't exactly messing with anybody! They weren't trying to overthrow the ruler and set up a new government or anything.

So what is written in the Exodus, is that like - the product of a great imagination?

Let's say the Exodus from Egypt account is fictional. You know if you watch the "wandering Jews" or the " diaspora " (hope that term is used properly), wherever they move to, they usually just settle down and live quietly, do business, observe their religious customs, practices, and traditions. Whether there are millions or just a "minority", they don't create the impression they came to take over! It seems like the only land they are ever willing to fight over is Palestine

The rest of the earth? Jews be like - Whatever!

It's just an observation. Please correct me if you see flaws.

UPDATE Sep 2017:
During 2016 my Tumblr account was deleted.  They got their rules.  Follow them or leave! By the end of the year, a new Tumblr blog was set up.  They only deleted my blog.  They didn't banish me!  Evidently, I didn't commit an unforgivable sin, so they let me create another account.  Frankly, I find the Tumblr Staff folks to be very reasonable.  They always answer my messages.  That's very professional and courteous, considering I got a free account.  Wonder how they treat their paying customers.

My new Tumblr blog is called FoxNet2017.

Much like the other blog it can be considered a lifestyle blog or placed under a general category or niche like "Society and Culture" because it shares whatever happens (current events) or has happened (history) in our world.

Ever Thought About How Will You Survive?

Questions asked at a forum called “My Survival Forum”. These were my answers. Honing your survival skills? Perhaps this will give you something to think about.

  • I was watching a documentary on our public TV station and did notice that the women were wiping the plates with dirt. They were in the desert. I was thinking I would use leaves from a tree. But of course, if I'm in the desert then … (O.o) (???) So? Do you not think using leaves from a tree is a good way to clean dirty plates?

  • My late mother believed in cerasee.  It grew in the backyard of my childhood home. It seemed she believed you could take it for everything. She always brewed it like a tea and drank it. She got better. My theory is that it tastes so awful, whatever it was inside of her that was causing the ailment, ran away! I was sure she made it up because she didn't like to go to doctors and take us to doctors. Only to grow up and find that people from the islands have always used cerasee. • No, I have never used tea tree oil because I just recently learned about it. A visit to a website maintained by a “Dr. Axe” provides details on what this natural remedy can do. Tea Tree Oil : Uses and Benefits | draxe.com

  • Two pots for cooking meals is OK. But I'm all for one-pot meals. I especially like soups and stews because they are hearty and filling. Also, throwing a soup party on a cold winter's night is fun!!

  • Not a follower of Stephen Hawking. But I'll try to be objective about his predictions. Easy for him to say. He won't be here in a thousand years so nobody will yell at him for being wrong! The chances for the world to end in a thousand years, a thousand centuries, a thousand millennia or a thousand nanoseconds are all equally not predictable.

What is Religion? (It's a Straight Forward Question with a Straight Forward Answer.)

Two topics they say people should never discuss because it will likely always end in a heated argument: politics and religion

- Hard not to discuss politics. The media does a good job of keeping it in your face.

- Hard not to discuss religion. It's close to one's heart. Atheists, wiccans, devout believers all have convictions. The media helps a little. Didn't you hear all those reports about pope Francis?

When it comes to religion, there is a definition that everybody can agree with and should not cause controversy.

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” (James 1: 27)

How hard can it be to follow this guideline?
