Residual Income : Social Sites That Pay (A 2nd Look) - Update #2

UPDATE June 8, 2021 : It is as they say:  "Only the strong survive!"  As of today, I am somewhat active on MyLot; very active on Forum Coin; and I have found 2 new partner sites to try out: Read.Cash and Noise.Cash. (If you click through to Read.cash, there is a banner at the top of the page that directs you to Noise.Cash.)  These two platforms let you earn Bitcoin Cash (BCH). After that you have to figure out on your own where and how to spend the cryptocurrency OR how to exchange for cash you can use to purchase goods and services or pay your bills. The misadventures continue! ☺

UPDATE May 29, 2016 : This post was first published 02 November 2016. A lot can happen in a short period of time. Two of sites mentioned below ~ BlogBourne and Literacy Base ~ are either closing for business or "in limbo". Those two sites were blogging communities. The 3rd site is actually a discussion forum and seems to be keeping its members happy. Meanwhile, signed up for another discussion forum - ForumCoin.com. It has a points system. 500 points = $5 USD. A nice community and I see lots of familiar faces. You're welcome to join.

* *INFO below shared 11/2/2016:

The link shared below leads to a post that was published at my other blog. It was my first evaluation of social communities that have a revenue-share plan and you can get paid for all of your activity, not just for publishing blog posts.

This post supplies a contrast and comparison for three (3) different sites:  two of them are (in my mind) blogging communities and the other one is more like a discussion forum or a micro-blogging platform/social network.

All of them have income potential.

My member name at all of the sites is "cmoneyspinner".

These are my profile links:
  • BlogBourne (member since August 2016; signed up because a friend asked me to);
  • LiteracyBase (member since July 2016); and
  • myLot (member since August 2015).

When I say that I'm taking a second look, I mean that a reevaluation or a second evaluation is in order.

BlogBourne is a site where many of my fellow friends and bloggers are actively publishing and commenting.  It must be a worthwhile effort.  Otherwise, why would they continue to stay there?  However, for me, navigating the site to find topics of interest to me feels a tad bit awkward.  Also, to get a post approved,  400+ words are required. For these reasons, my activity at this site is not very frequent.

By contrast, my efforts at Literacy Base and myLot are much more rewarding, and as such, I login to my account almost every day.  There is always something to be done, in addition to blogging, at either of these sites that can generate some extra income.

In fact, myLot doesn't even require blogging.  But if you wanted, you could describe your activity as micro-blogging.  Starting a discussion there is very similar to composing a short Tweet.  (A short Tweet?  That's a redundant expression, isn't it?  I apologize.  :) )

To get a post approved at Literacy Base, 300+ words are required. For some reason, it seems easier to write 300 words than 400.  (It's psychological.  I'm a fruitcake!  )  But you can easily earn from contributing to forums and groups, updating you wall (or timeline) with a quote or some random comment, leaving comments at blog posts published by others, etc.

  • NOTE:  To be fair, you also don't need to blog at BlogBourne.  You can be active in the same way as on Literacy Base.

With Literacy Base (cash out at $10) and myLot (cash out at $5) - look up at the right hand corner of your screen and you can immediately see your earnings.  With BlogBourne (cash out at $10) you have to calculate what you've earned by multiplying your accumulated coins by the exchange rate.  (Not sure what the exchange rate is.  It's probably best if you ask the BB site owner directly or click here to read a post by a blogger who is a member at both sites.)

Two final remarks:

(1)  The communities have really nice members.

(2)  If you are a newbie blogger, these sites are a great place to get started.  If I could go backwards, I would have started my blogging attempts at sites like these.  Eh!  Live and learn!  My pain is your gain.

Happy 2020! Will There Be a World War 3? Let's Discuss.

Ever since mankind realized that they were supposed to be counting wars ... people are on the edge because they are rightfully concerned about the possibility and regularly ask this question:

Will there be a World War 3?

There are lively discussions going in many online communities.  I donated my "two cents" to a discussion in a forum.  This is what I said:

* * *
"NOSTRADAMUS predictions for 2018 have foretold one of the worst years in global history with a string of natural disasters, the fall of the economy, and the start of World War 3."
Nostradamus 2018 predictions: World War 3 and disaster BUT survivors could live to 200
Eh! I never believed anything attributed to Nostradamus. Frankly I don't think there will be a 3rd world war because, although the countries possess nuclear weapons, nobody in their right mind really wants to use them. In a nuclear-to-nuclear showdown there are NO WINNERS. The fallout from the use of nuclear weapons is unimaginable. The earth - the land, the oceans and the sky - will be ruined FOR EVERYBODY!!
North Korea warns of nuclear showdown, ...

I made the statements above on May 25, 2018, and searched for related links on the web (see below).

:yawn: It's January 2020 and wouldn't you know it? We're having this discussion. ... AGAIN! :crazy:

Social Sites That Pay : ForumCoin and Postloop

Followed the advice of a friend and signed up at a site called ForumCoin.com. This is a site where newbies and beginners trying to publish blogs can get advice and tips on affiliate marketing and blog monetization, suggestions on sites where they can make money online, etc. Members can even play games, share music, and just chit chat. You can create an income stream by being an active member of this site because for all of your various social activities you can earn money.

At ForumCoin, I found a discussion thread about a site called Postloop. You sign up free, follow the instructions carefully to open the portal and from there you proceed to qualify so that you can gain access to more blogs and forums where you can earn money for publishing posts and/or making comments at posts. You sort of have to pass a “test” first. The Postloop owners are looking for people with fairly good writing skills who can publish posts and/or provide comments that contribute to ongoing discussions in the forums or at the blogs. You don't earn money to get qualified. But once you are approved (or qualified), you will receive an eMail with a link that directs you to other forums and blogs you can sign up for that do pay you for your contributions.

When I received my eMail, I subscribed to two forums. Now I can invite others to join those forums. You don't have to go through Postloop. You can use my referral link (below). However, if you do use my link, then you will only have access to the forum you chose to sign up for. Whereas, if you go through the Postloop qualification process, you can have access not only to the forums I joined but you can view the complete list of forums and blogs and pick one or more. You may not want to join the forums I joined. There may be other topics that interest you. These two forums were of interest to me. One forum I joined to learn more about SEO. The other forum I joined because they have a wide range of general topics for you to provide your comments.  Do you already read blogs you like and leave comments?  This is the same thing only you can earn money for making a comment.

My Sign Up Referral Link for Postloop:

Once you are approved or qualified via Postloop, you can then subscribe to the forums like the ones mentioned in this post and start earning.  As stated earlier, you can publish posts and/or make comments at these forums. Most of the time I comment; especially at the SEOClerks forum since I am not really an expert webmaster. But just to give you an idea, at the end of this blog post is a list of some of my published posts at SuperiorThan that the owners approved.  Some are Versus.  Some are Debates or Discussions.  Just click on the appropriate tabs.

This was a brief introduction to my experience with social sites that pay; legitimate websites where you can make money online.  There are more sites out there (also mentioned at ForumCoin).  But these are the sites where I have found my experience to productive and profitable.  Hope this helps you.  Let me know if you have any questions about anything I've written.
