Are You Qualified to Make Good Soup?

Want to read a food quote?

“Only the pure in heart can
make a good soup.”

Guess who said that?
- No it wasn't Jesus Christ.
- No it wasn't Jacques Pepin.

Beethoven! Yeah, the famous classical music composer, Ludwig van Beethoven said that!

So not only was he a genius when it came to composing music, he was also smart when it came to knowing about comfort food.

January is National Soup Month and in other months of the year, we celebrate days for various types of soups and chowders. Why wait until the winter months when you can start enjoying warm comforting soups during any season of the year?  After all, if you live in places like Florida, Texas, or Hawaii, you might never see Jack Frost.

Food and Drink: Mexican Favorites - Recipes for Peace?

Published an article about a proposed solution to the "problem" of illegal immigration in the United States via HUBPages.com.  For the life of me, can't understand why everybody isn't on board with it!  Isn't the temptation of Mexican cuisine a persuasive enough argument?!  THINK "homemade fresh chorizo".  That's worth coming to an agreement, isn't it?

Tropical Conch Salad Recipe | SparkRecipes (Reblog)

So very excited to share this wonderful variation of a Bahamian dish that defines my life, growing up in Miami, Florida. It never occurred to me to make these changes to the classic recipe by adding two delightfully sweet ingredients - mango and pineapple.  Want to enjoy a tasty island cuisine?  Need to get your serving of fruits and vegetables?  Try this!

Asian Salmon and Other Salmon Recipes

Which is better for you? Salmon or Trout?
Let's discuss!

Or …

Skip the discussion and make an arbitrary decision based on your palate's preferences. No matter because the salmon recipes links supplied via this blog post can probably be modified and trout can be used as a substitute. When experimenting, eating and enjoying food, one must learn to be flexible.  :)

Kid Size Cooking: Rainbow Checkerboard Cake (YouTube Video Share)

Another wonderful foodie discovery found by accident. I heart rainbows. I heart desserts. Have had an affiliate marketing website since 2011. When Google Plus invited me to join the G+ social / professional network, part of the membership includes being able to create a business page to link to your official website. Used to be called “page”. Now it's called “brand”. Either way, setting up a business page or establishing a brand account is kind of like passing out an electronic business card for your website, only better!

Long story short. Back in 2011, a blogger on G+ started following my Everyday Exotic Spices page. On her timeline, she had shared a recipe for a rainbow cake. However, clicking the link led me to page stating that the blog had been discontinued. Thought to myself 'Perhaps there's a new blog somewhere else and the recipe has been published there.' So typed an appropriate phrase into the search box and VOILA! Never found the original blogger's recipe but the YouTube video with kids in the kitchen is just as good!! Awesome!!

This YouTube channel has close to 4 million subscribers! Impressive huh? Might as well join the fun. Clicked the subscriber's button, gave it a Thumbs Up, and decided to share the video via this blog.

July 30th is National Cheesecake Day in the USA

Who Cares Who Invented Cheesecake? I do!

Because I want to thank whoever it was that made this lusciously exquisite dessert possible for human consumption!! :)
According to Cheesecake.com, "The first "cheese cake" may have been created on the Greek island of Samos. Physical anthropologists excavated cheese molds there which were dated circa 2,000 B.C." I would just like to modify/paraphrase a quote borrowed from a memorable character as stated in a famous Charles Dickens' novel: "God bless them, each and every one!" :)
I very much agree with Anita Schecter, the lady who shared this recipe via Google Plus. Skip dinner! Go straight to the dessert! Many thanks to her also! :)
