Top Tech Blogs in India (AllTechBuzz Infographic 2019)

Very happy to update this blog post with an infographic for 2019.  The first infographic dated back to 2014.  Both display the Top 50 Tech Blogs in India to be followed.
top tech blogs

No surprise that the infographic prepared by AllTechBuzz still has my all-time favorite tech blog at the top of its list.  In my humble opinion, ShoutMeLoud.com was and still is Numero Uno!  It's a fantastic award-winning blog loaded with invaluable advice, tips and tricks.  It was great in 2014 and it's still great!

Can Gandhi find a place in today's Corporate and Management world? | Anas Ebrahem (Reblog)

Gandhian methods, characteristics, ideas, and ideals? Rituals of visionary leaders? Gandhi was a lawyer so finding a place in today’s Corporate and Management world would likely not be difficult for him to do. But his visionary methods of leadership would probably also get him kicked out of that same world! :)

Sharing this excellent post by Anas Ebrahem.

Can Gandhi find a place in today's Corporate and Management world?

Can Gandhi find a place in today's Corporate and Management world? It has been long lasting debate going on with some of my friends in understanding the relevancy of Gandhism in the modern corporate world that talks of stocks, prices, sell-outs and buy-ins everyday. To worsen the state of their minds, a question of...

My Rant About Employers Doing Unofficial Background Checks via Social Media Networks

Here is something that is being done but it's wrong.
  • Not asking if you think it's wrong.
  • Not opening the matter up for discussion.
  • Not wanting your thoughts on if you think it's wrong.
I'm telling you … if it's true … if it's being done … IT'S WRONG!!

Did you know that Employers often look for information about prospective Employees in Social Media Networks?

No doubt you must have heard a lot of clamor about it.
* * *

This matter is not up for discussion or debate.

Work is work. Social is social.

Social encompasses personal and private, allowed in by invitation only.  And don't give me any mumbo jumbo about my social profile being set to "public".

Work is … whatever work is and the "stuff" at work don't belong to me. It's just a job. No need to bring it home with me cause it's not mine!

The boundary lines are drawn. OK?

* * *

If you are hiring me because you want me to crunch numbers in your Accounting department, and you have already listed the necessary Education requirements, skills, qualifications in your job description …

I applied …
- you contacted me for an interview …
- - based on my application or resume …
- - - you are thinking of hiring me …

WHY do you need look any further into my personal and private life? You're going to do a criminal background check.

(Not talking about credit checks, arrest records, etc. - which in order for the potential employer to obtain access to - signed release forms by the potential employee are required.)

Number One:
Suppose you don't hire me? What does that mean? That means you done got all up in my grill, learning all kinds of things about me you didn't really need to know, and now how I do know what you're going to do with that “knowledge” and “information”?

Number Two:
If you do hire me, we need to AGREE on PAY, the working conditions and the job description.

The work contract will be a regular 9 to 5, right?  With some flexibility.

As long as there is no problem with my work that's being presented as a finished product, you're satisfied and I get paid! Right?

Let's get this straight, Mr. or Ms. Employer.
  • Before 9 and after 5 (or established working hours), you need to be living your own life!!
  • Not having your nose all up in mine! RIGHT???
When I come into work, it should be “Good morning!' and then we get to work.

When I leave work for the day, it should be “Good evening or good night!”

It should be clearly understood:
  • I am leaving work. If you have not been invited to my house, DO NOT FOLLOW ME HOME!! I will have you arrested for stalking!

Apologize for the rant. I started reading an article (just trying to get some of my kids married off) and blew a gasket when I honed in on a sentence about employers checking stuff on social networks (these networks include dating sites, etc.).  I needed somewhere to put my thoughts.

OK. So anyway … this information below is also useless to me but maybe somebody else might find it helpful. Here's a link to a free article on:

I have several boards (over 50) and I've been trying to arrange them. I just tried a Pinterest feature that lets you arrange your boards: Alphabetical, Newest to Oldest, Oldest to Newest OR you can manually Drag and Drop your boards wherever! I may rearrange them again but for now, I think putting them in alpha order is best for visitors. I can see the boards in alpha order. What I want to know is:

Q1: How does a visitor to my Pinterest profile see them? Can you look at my Pinterest boards and tell me if you see them arranged in alphabetical order?

Q2: Is that feature available to allow a visitor to rearrange my boards the way they would like to see them? From New to Old, in Alpha Order, etc.

Dealing With Haters and Trolls? | SocialMediaExaminer.com

Have you ever been publicly criticized or mocked for something that you did?  Are you wondering how you can deal with this type of negativity when it happens on social media?  To learn about haters and how to deal with them, I interview Marcus Sheridan for this episode of the Social Media. ...

Sharing a link to an article received via eMail. It's worth resharing and worth repeating. Sound advice, but the fact is, in my world, haters and trolls are 99.9% of the time met by me with SILENCE. I'm sorry but there's really no extra time to entertain them! There's barely enough time to delete their useless pointless remarks. It's annoying to have to spend time doing that when there is productive and profitable work to be done.

Excuse me?  What was that?  Oh I see.  You don't want to practice professional respect and courtesy, or plain old good manners, but you want to be treated like a serious professional or genuine intellectual. Uh huh.  Whatever!  Talk to the hand.

  • The letter "H" in my book is for Happy not Hater.
  • The letter "T" is not for Trolls; it represents my time which is much to precious and valuable to waste on U!!  Bye bye!

Collectible Quotes: Einstein

Enjoy collecting great quotes. Found this one today on Amit Agarwal's Google+ profile. Coincidentally (or intentionally) he seems to have a habit of explaining complicated matters very simplistically. I like that! :)

His bragging rights? He is India's first professional blogger. I'd say that's something to brag about.

He also founded Digital Inspiration, a how-to tech site that's been around or almost a decade; since 2004.  That's something to brag about too! Glad to have found this guy.  Added him to my circles.

4 Things Women in Business are Told (that Men aren't) | Project Eve

Worked a 9 to 5 job for several years in the corporate workplace and don't remember being told this, Also don't remember being doggedly pursued to be offered a management position. If you're going to be an executive perhaps that's when this type of advice is volunteered. Volunteered? Yes. The "4 Things" don't seem like advice that any working woman would actually ask for. If these tips were offered to me, my responses would be:

  • To Thing #1: Uuuhhh ... WHY?
  • To Thing #2: Uuuhhh ... WHY?
  • To Thing #3: You're telling me that? WHY?
  • To Thing #4: Uuuhhh ... WHY?

4 Things Women in Business are Told (that Men aren't)

The glass ceiling is still very much in place, there's still not equal pay, and women aren't sure if they should lean in or lean out. As a woman moving up the ranks in a business, starting her own company, or treading into executive territory, they're told some things that men never hear.

My Quora 2017 Activity Highlights

Received a wonderful eMail communication thanking me and congratulating me. It was a pleasant surprise. Text of the eMail message from Quora is below.

I reviewed some additional stats and realized that I have been a quora member since 2013.  Someone was nice enough to invite me to join and I can't even remember who!  This is a nice site.  People ask interesting questions, engage each other in intelligent discussion, supply great responses and information, and it has a free blogging platform.  Some insist that Quora can be used to drive traffic to their main websites and blogs.  (See links below.)  I have never used it for that purpose.  For me, it's a research tool and also makes for enlightening reading on a wide range of topics.

Thanks for being a part of Quora in 2017! Let's look at some of the ways you helped share and grow the world's knowledge this past year.
