A 2015 movie. If you have been a fan of Johnny Depp ever since "21 Jump Street", you'll probably enjoy this film. Johnny Depp as Mortdecai. As an actor, he certainly has morphed over the years. Don't you think so?
My comments: The blog publisher says the incident is minimized in the record of history. But it says they gave land grants to the families of the slain soldiers, so – in my mind - the authority gave credit where credit was due. It's better to not get any mention in history than to serve faithfully and then have your family disregarded as if you didn't do anything at all. The family who lost a member who died as a valiant soldier more often than not probably depended on that person for their own survival. It's the least the country's leaders could do. History of the Indian army (as in India, not Native Americans). Interesting history.

Odd fact about perfume: Did you know the famous philosopher Socrates did not approve of perfumes? But do you know why? He thought the smells blurred the lines between slaves and freedmen. "History: Perfume was first used by the Egyptians as part of their religious rituals. ... Perfumed oils were applied to the skin for either cosmetic or medicinal purposes." (Source) "During the reign of the Egyptian pharaoh Khufu, builder of the Great Pyramid (c. 2700 bc), papyrus manuscripts recorded the use of fragrant herbs, choice oils, perfumes, and temple incense, and told of healing salves made of fragrant resins. Throughout the African continent, people coated their skin with fragrant oils to protect themselves from the hot, dry sun." (Source) There are many ways to recycle leftover perfume. For example, you can use perfume to make artificial flowers. Learn more.
(UPDATE July 3, 2019) Apologies. Reblogged an awesome post which supplied a review of "The Equalizer", a 2014 movie which starred Denzel Washington; however, the blog publisher decided to remove the content. (Also Google+, the social network where I found the link, shut down.) I'm forced to share some alternative links if you are still interested in a movie review. Below are links to reviews by others of this disappointing Denzel Washington film. Critics were not all that pleased. "Lacks gravitas". ~ Roger Ebert So let me complete the sentence. I heard that movie was AWFUL! Yet they made a sequel. (O.o) The Equalizer 2 (2018)
* * * Content below updated. See alternative links. Reblogging this from a movie review blog. There used to be an old TV show called “The Equalizer” that was a really good show! So when they started advertising this new movie with Mr. Washington, it got me all excited.
Found the link to this blog post which was shared via Google+ community and thought to myself: 'Eh! Let me check it out!'
Great review!!! But of course, it's on my list of movies to watch anyway. Don't really need persuading. Like to keep my finger on the pulse of Denzel Washington. Been following his acting career for years. It was a great review but the blog is unpublished. The blog publisher is Justin Morales. It's a fairly new blog (first posts dated April 2014), but he's off to a good start!
I Heard That Movie Was...:MOVIE REVIEW: The Equalizer

Jaro Berce's blog, Leadership By Virtue, is a blog about his book by that name. Just recently started following it and picked up on this because it was listed as one of the “Popular Posts”. Indeed discussing the economy is always “popular”. ☺ Those so-called “discussions” can be downright ruthless sometimes. We're talking serious kung fu fighting! Yet and still, in my opinion, gaining even an introductory or elementary knowledge and understanding of economics has its value.
Reblogging from Derek, my Facebook friend, and fellow blogger. It's a guest post on his blog. Even though this post is dated 2013, the advice is still applicable.
Daniel Hernandez publishes a blog he calls "Random Mexican's Movie Review". He is a member of the Authentic Blogger Group on Facebook. Been following his blog for a while. His movie reviews are a ready reference resource. Concise. Precise. Always on point. Like this one.

Well I know that I'm supposed to be tooting my own horn but why can't I toot about blogs I like as well? It's just as much fun reading other people's blogs as it is publishing my own. Re-blogging a link from a super cool entertainment blog that caught my eye.
Why do I like this blog? It shares entertainment-related tidbits, fun facts, etc. that are of interest to me. I like the post categories; especially “Who Wore It Best?”
I enjoy the “Movie Reviews” category because there are reviews of vintage movies. The publisher uses the word “vintage”. But sometimes we say “movie classics” or “old movies”.

Have always been fascinated with dreaming. The dream world. The dream state. Whatever you want to call it. To me, pure hell on earth would be a life where you could not dream!
Found a Tumblr blogger who seems to share my fascination with this subject. She has several posts on the topic. Sharing this one because … not only do I love dreaming but I can't pass on Mickey and Minnie. It's almost Valentine's Day and this animated couple is a quintessential picture of eternal love.
Sharing the other two links below because it adds to the discussion of the human mind. Since I can't afford to join the team that's going to Mars in the hopes of establishing a space colony, might as well engage in some other profitable effort. The brain and how it functions is a full-time exploration project. Wouldn't you agree?
So very excited to share this wonderful variation of a Bahamian dish that defines my life, growing up in Miami, Florida. It never occurred to me to make these changes to the classic recipe by adding two delightfully sweet ingredients - mango and pineapple. Want to enjoy a tasty island cuisine? Need to get your serving of fruits and vegetables? Try this!
I am always desperately seeking ways and means to hone my Internet, affiliate and content marketing skills. I try all the tools and resources offered (as long as they are free with an option to upgrade later). I sift through all the advice, tips and tricks from the “experts”. One thing that I have noticed and it's a story that has not changed over the years (Eh! for about 4 or 5 years). It's a prediction about the future of Twitter. Extracted this quote from an article by Entrepreneur.com titled "18 Marketing Trends to Watch in 2018".
11. Twitter dies a quiet death. Twitter has been unable to grow users in 2017. The platform has focused on user acquisition rather than on making improvements to their ad platform. As a result, marketers are already using other social media platforms to connect with prospects. This trend will continue in 2018 as Twitter continues to struggle.
I don't know about other Twitter users but this saddens me. Nevertheless, I keep trying to prepare myself for the "Moment" when I will no longer be able to save or view any more Moments. If this prediction is true, all I can say is:
"Dear Twitter,
I am glad that I won't be a student attending university pursuing a business or marketing degree, because your organization will likely be a case study.
Reblogging a post link for Review This! because Jude Deveraux is one of my favorite historical romance novelists (although not all of her romance books are historical); plus I'm a sucker for stories about knights. :)
I love old movies. On the hunt for a recommendation and came across this movie review of "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" (1982) starring Steve Martin (of "Saturday Night Live" fame). This blog is published by "Dave" and he plans to review a total of 2500 movies. This reblogged movie review is Number 1060. It was posted in 2010. As of June 2014, he was still posting! So much for setting yourself an achievable goal.
